Anonymous Alert Hotline

This service is being provided to Mecklenburg County Public School's students and parents to anonymously provide information or feedback to division level officials, relate a problem or concern, ask a question related to school-based services, report a concern for yourself, another student or your child (if a parent), or request assistance in obtaining a referral or services from agencies outside the school system. After your submission, your request will be reviewed within 7 business days. If you have left contact information, you will be provided a response using the information you have provided. Leaving your name is not required. However, doing so may help us respond to your submission in more detail or sooner.

  SchoolSpan's Anonymous Alert is NOT an emergency hotline. If you are reporting an event that could immediately affect your school community, please call 911 or your local emergency number.

  SchoolSpan's Anonymous Alert program is intended to facilitate the reporting of sensitive information to school officials, including information regarding student safety, violence, drug use, or students who may be in need of assistance. Reports submitted here will be forwarded electronically to a predetermined list of school officials and, at the school administration's option, to local enforcement agencies. 

  SchoolSpan highly respects and cares for your privacy. We do not read or evaluate the messages received on our anonymous alert system and we do not collect or store any personal information about you when you submit your anonymous alert tip. The only information that we do collect is the Internet domain from which you submitted the report. This information will be kept strictly confidential and will only be accessed when we are required by court order to identify the Internet domain from which you submitted your report. Raw access logs will be destroyed regularly in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration guidelines.

  Please use the Anonymous Alert program responsibly.  Adverse consequences, including serious criminal charges, may result from the submission of a false report. Any unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on our Anonymous Alert program are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
